OFFICIAL TOURNAMENT RULES:
Entry Fee & Prize:
1. Each contestant's entry fee is paid electronically via our website, processed through PayPal. This is a standard entry fee like with most tournaments and entry fees along with (majority) OUR money comprises the grand prize.
2. Cash prizes will typically not be issued for our games/tournaments. We do not profit, in fact often loose, on these contests; ZERO cash/money is kept, we pay (more) into prize pool, plus our freely provided coordination!
3. Prize(s) will be issued within 24-hours of contest/tournament end, prize(s) will be issued ONCE! (see terms if you can't understand why.)
4. ANY/ALL entry fee transactions are FINAL, whether you participate or not! In an instance where a contest/tournament fills up and a customer paid an entry fee and CAN'T participate, a full refund will be issued, HOWEVER:
-WE say when a tournament is full, you can't magically tell us our tournament is full because you changed your mind and/or can't participate.
-This ALL should be moot anyway because when entry listings are created we create a quantity of availability and you CAN'T purchase once supply is gone.
-Unfortunately the government requires sales tax to be charged on tournament/contest entry fees, they are considered taxable retail sales similar to event tickets.
Gameplay Rules:
1. All of Hearthstone's, Blizzard, & Battlenet rules and policies apply.
2. Players are mandated to add not only each opponent/matchup, but us to their friends list to be able to spectate matches.
3. Players must disabled any/all spectating prohibiting features. While we may be competing, we WILL have an auxiliary team member spectating any/all games!
Because...
4. Players are required to play and conduct themselves in a (good) "sportsman" like way! Any misconduct substantiated by our company WILL get you disqualified! ZERO winnings, ZERO refunds.
***Behavior/gameplay specific to HEARTHSTONE that we consider "unsportsmanlike"; which will get you disqualified:
•Spam chatting players, especially during their turn! - Pretty self-explanatory why this is negative.
•"ROPING"/Stalling/Purposely taking forever to frustrate the other party! - this is a petty attempt at psychological warfare because you have no real card skill! We all have s*** to do and would like to get on with the tournament if your main strategy is to be a "roper" who can't really play you probably should not sign up for this tournament! Because even if you win, either through our own spectation or reports and further substantiation of this tactic, you won't get anything, as previously stated. Just play the game! It's not against the rules to catch a rope sometimes you have a long thinking turn, but to do it in a strategic way is fairly obvious and recognizable; just DO NOT time out each and every turn regardless of the situation, play the game!
•Toying with your opponent! - Again, we all got s*** to do, play the game! If you are in a position to make the kill and take the match, then make the kill and take the match DO NOT play additional cards that would extend the game further past that turn, make the kill, take the win! (Get your sadistic kicks on your own time!)
•Uploading your match in efforts to shame, demean, or otherwise insult your opponent! - You want to do it to us/our matches that's fine, we're tough and can take it, but each and every other player, including you, has a right to join a contest/tournament with the reasonable expectation that content will not be created to perpetually defame, insult, or lessen them...We're all just here to play cards!
Any of the following grotesque, unsportsmanlike, entitled behaviors will get you disqualified and barred from future entry for ANY tournaments and/or contests, not just Hearthstone!
Tournament Administration:
1. When the tournament begins, pairings will challenge each other through the friends list and matches will commence.
2. It's best of 3, so the first player of each pairing to win 2 of the possible 3 games, advances.
3. Upon completion of a (2-3 game) round the winner MUST tell us RIGHT AWAY through Battlenet chat/friend chat; this will expedite the next pairings/round, and is a necessity! There are 2 rounds in which you may need to message; first and semi-final rounds. We will be watching the finals!
